Improvement should be imminent.posted Apr 6th 2011, 12:45PM

So. I figure it's been long enough of a wait between journals that I'd make a new one.
I'm currently trying to get motivated to do art more often. I'm stuck on Flikr doing commissions quite a bit. And that gives me little to no practice seeing it's only photo repaints and nothing else. Not complaining. It gets me money... So I'm back at it again trying to improve where I know I drastically lack. I'm leaps away from where I want to be.
On a similar note I got back into contact with my mentor Igor Kordey. Who's more well known for his work for the X-men comics and his own comic "Smoke". (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Igor_Kordey) Although he does amazing art pieces on the side. As a matter of fact he'll be having an art exhibit in Belgrade soon. Either way I'm honored and thrilled to have him back in my life. Not only as my mentor but friend. And hopefully when I go down to see him I'll come back with an assload of knowledge and some improvement on my skills.
I have a secondary account, that my pointless character idea’s, childish imagery, and scraps have been placed to collect dust in… I think art should have something to say… this account is my obnoxious one… it yells a lot…
I am so surprised I've never seen your work till today. I absolutely LOVE your use of the macabre and disturbing to create such thought provoking and visually stunning work. I tend to pussy foot around my ideas, and it's nice to see someone so dedicated to their work.
I'm always surprised when I stumble upon great artists, such as yourself. It's been far too long for this non-watch to keep up, you just earned yourself a new fan! Love your style, it's fantastic!
And in turn I'm just as surprised when someone thinks I'm a good artist. I realize I'm my worst critic, but believe me; I have had my share of. "Don't quit your day job." comments. I think most of the time, it may be the fact a fair amount of what I do involves someone being dead, or dying. (Not to mention some of the more opinionated peices involving a certain “savior” as many of the very religious would call him, have garnered some of the more unhappy comments.)
So I have sort of gotten used to refusing to draw a lake of diamonds with bunny shaped clouds to get approval, making your comment a bit harder to swallow than you’d think.
Although, thankyou very much. I appreciate it.
Well I'm not blowing it out my ass, I'm being super serious. I take my art to heart, and I only watch those who I find compelling or some-what eye-catching. And you're far more than eye-catching, your art is simply amazing, and utterly breath-taking, I truly admire you.:)
Oh! I never meant to give you an "oh no" moment. I will post more art soon, working on some landscapes at the moment, hopefully if I'm not going to be horribly lazy they'll be done soon... Right now all one can do is hope and cross fingers...
We are easily found loitering in washrooms, hideing behind bushes, standing on the outskirts of playgrounds and elementary schools, and usually carrying large, filled garbage bags about at night.
